Programs Assistant (Evaluation)

Short-term summer work experience (8 weeks)
35 hours per week, onsite in Leslieville, Toronto
OYA Black Arts Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Black artists, creators and entrepreneurs within the entertainment sector. Our programs provide mentorship, networking, and essential skills training to post-secondary graduates of film, television, and digital media programs to kickstart their careers and increase employment opportunities. We also offer services to mid-career filmmakers/artists fostering the development, production and/or distribution of their projects, and to increase the number and capacity of Black Entrepreneurs within Ontario
Position Summary: Programs Assistant (Evaluation)
Reports to: Manager, Community & Partnerships
This role will support data collection, analysis, and reporting to strengthen OBAC’s program evaluation, storytelling, and long-term impact measurement. This role is designed for youth with a keen interest in research, evaluation, data storytelling, and social impact measurement.
NOTE: This position is funded in part by the Canada Summer Jobs program. Candidates must be between 15 and 30 years of age and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and compile alumni data into a CRM
- Support development and updating of surveys and feedback tools
- Conduct outreach to alumni to gather feedback and stories
- Clean, standardize and organize datasets for analysis
- Assist in identifying themes, trends, and early insights and opportunities
- Create data visualization dashboards for internal use
- Support preparation of impact storytelling materials for communications
- Prepare an impact and evaluation report for supervisor

- Strong attention to detail and comfort with spreadsheets and CRM platforms

Compensation
$25.00 per hour
